The Qatar News Agency reported that the Qatari women's team won the West Asia Rugby Championship for the second time in a row, after beating the Lebanese side 22-5 in their final match at Aspire, amid large public attendance.
The Qatari team deserved the title after they made a strong performance in the final, dominating the match from start to finish to secure a great victory over Lebanon.
The Qatari team played a remarkable match in the tournament, winning all the first round matches against Jordan (39-0), Qatar B (21-5), Lebanon (26-0). In the semi-finals, they beat Jordan (34-0), and ended the tournament with a win against Lebanon in the final (22-5).
Qatar B team finished third in the tournament after beating Jordan (27-5) in the pre-final match.
