Qatar wins 15 medals in West Asian Table Tennis Championship

Players of the Qatari national teams won 11 colored medals in the singles and doubles competitions at the conclusion of the West Asian Table Tennis Championship, hosted by Jordan since July 26 at Prince Hamzah Hall in the capital, Amman.

The 11 medals consist of 5 golds, 2 silvers and 4 bronzes, bringing the Qatari teams total medals in the competitions to 15 (6 golds, 2 silvers and 7 bronzes).

The final day witnessed very strong battles in various competitions in an effort to collect three medals, whether in the singles or doubles competitions of the various age groups. In the end, Qatar's players succeeded in gaining a variety of medals of different age groups.

On the other hand, the West Asian Table Tennis Championship for men and women clubs is scheduled to kick off in Amman Monday until August 5 amid a large participation from various countries.

In a related context, meetings of the Asian Table Tennis Union and the Arab Table Tennis Union are being held on the sidelines of the tournament, in the presence of the President of the Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA), the Arab Table Tennis Union and the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) Khalil Al Mohannadi, who is also the First Deputy President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
