The Qatar Handball Association (QHA) announced the launching of the first team preparation program for participating in the competitions of the 27th World Men's Championship, which will be held in Egypt during January 2021.
In a statement, QHA said that the program for preparing the first handball team will start in October after the end of the local competitions, as the preparatory period will start with an internal camp that will witness extensive training and local friendly matches.
It noted that after the completion of the internal camp, the team will organize in European camp that includes a number of strong experimental matches, followed by returning to Doha to compete in the Qatar International friendly tournament, and then go to Egypt to participate in the world championship.
The Qatar Handball Association (QHA) had announced earlier the completion of all competitions for the current local season starting from September 10, as the beginning would be the completion of the league championship competitions and then the Qatar Cup and HH the Amir's Cup.
The Organizing Committee of the World Championship in Egypt 2021 has set October, a proposed date for holding the championship draw, which will witness for the first time the participation of 32 teams.
