Qatar's national basketball team was crowned as the Gulf Basketball Champions for youth under 18 years old, which was held at Sheikh Rashid bin Maktoum Al Maktoum Hall at Al Wasl Club in the UAE on 6 August 2022.

The team qualifies for the U-18 Asian Cup finals to be held in Iran this 2022 after winning against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's basketball team with a score of 75-51, in favour of Qatar.
