Lusail International Circuit in Qatar has entered the calendar of the 75th edition of the Formula 1 World Championship for cars for the 2024 season, consisting of 24 rounds announced by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) today, in order to give fans a glimpse of the place and time for their favourite races.

The Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix will be the twenty-third and penultimate round of the season, as it will be held for the second season in a row during the period from 29 November to 1 December 2024.

The organizers of the Formula 1 World Championship announced that the calendar for the next season will witness many changes, as it will start with two races in the Arab region at the "Sakhir" circuit in Bahrain and the Jeddah Corniche in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as it will end with two races in the Arab region as well, where the race will be. Before the final race at Lusail International Circuit in Qatar, it will be followed by the final race at the "Yas Marina" circuit in Abu Dhabi.

Formula said, in a statement today, that the next season will open with two races on the second and ninth Saturday of March, in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, in contrast to the traditional Sunday, in order to adapt to the holy month of Ramadan, which begins on the tenth of it and added that as a result, it will be held with three races on Saturday in the 2024 season, as the two Arab races will join the American “Las Vegas” award, which this year will host a night race on Saturday evening, which will be the first since 1985, as it is not held on the traditional Sunday.

This year's season was scheduled to consist of 24 record races, but the Chinese Grand Prix was cancelled in April due to restrictions related to Covid-19, while the Italian Emilia-Romagna race at the Imola circuit was cancelled due to the floods that hit the region, but the new season 2024 will witness the presence of the two races on The calendar, which starts in early March and ends in early December.
