According to a report by The Peninsula, H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth and Chairman of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 Local Organizing Committee (LOC), confirmed that Qatar is set to host the FIFA Arab Cup once again.

H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani spoke at a press conference held at Qatar National Convention Centre on 21 January 2024, hailing Qatar's success and achievements with hosting and organizing major sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, mentioning that hosting the Olympic Games is the biggest dream.

The Sports Minister shares that the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 has sold 1.2 million tickets and reached over 620,000 fan attendance.

As per the Peninsula, H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani further reveals that the FIFA Arab Cup would be organised again in Qatar in cooperation with the Union of Arab Football Associations and Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).

“The tournament will be held next year, God willing, after completing some arrangements, indicating that the date, location, and hosting mechanism in the future will be announced soon. I am not the person authorised to talk about this tournament officially, but the tournament will be held again, God willing,” says H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani.

The previous FIFA Arab Cup was hosted by Qatar in 2021, a year before hosting FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
