Access road leading from Al Rayyan Road to the main parking lot at Women’s Hospital will be closed as part of ongoing renovation and restoration work at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), from November 27, 2011. Every effort has been takes to ensure that patients and visitors do not face any inconvenience while the hospital and surrounding area is being renovated in line with the organisation’s commitment to enhance the patient experience, HMC officials stressed. The road works are expected to take 45 days. New sign boards has been installed around the area to help visitors navigate their way and extra security has been arranged to assist patients and visitors. Women’s Hospital can be accessed through Mohamad bin Thani street; driving along Al Rayyan Road, turn right at Sports Roundabout then take the first road on the right. Meanwhile, Women’s Hospital Emergency Department can be accessed through the Hamad General Hospital Emergency Department entrance from Al Rayyan Road. However, no other sections of Women’s Hospital can be accessed from this route. HMC officials have urged patients to arrive 30 minutes ahead of their appointment time. The Peninsula
