A Qatari woman has been duped by a real estate company in an Arab state that markets timeshare resorts. In 2007, the woman had purchased a timeshare resort to be used for seven days in a year in a country. The woman had paid the company a non-refundable amount of $17,534 for getting timeshare rights at the resort for 40 years. In return, she had received vacation certificates and related documents, she told Al Sharq daily. When the woman attempted to enjoy her vacation in that resort, officials of the company told her that she had to fulfill other conditions that were not included in the contract. The woman decided to resell her rights on the resort, but even this was met by various impediments. The woman has taken the case to court. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=January2009&file=Local_News2009012042043.xml
