Volvo Car Corporation’s 2011 model sports sedan - Volvo S60 - has been recognised as the leading vehicle among its competitors and was awarded the “Middle East Car of the Year” at the Middle East Motor Awards. “Winning the “Middle East Car of the Year” award is an honour and we are thrilled with the exposure that the S60 has received this year. This is a significant title and award for Volvo Cars Corporation and we can’t begin to express our gratitude to our customers. We have received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback on the Volvo S60 and we are proud to own the title,” Volvo Sales and Marketing director Emre Karaer said. The Volvo S60 was launched in August 2010 and sold 70 units by the end of the year and to date, Volvo has sold over 300 units. In addition to the award, the Volvo S60 has also won the ‘International Sedan of the Year’ award and was named “Most Dependable” car by the “International Car of the Year” jury earlier this year.
