The Ministry of Interior (MOI) announced on 15 June 2023 that two men and two women had been apprehended for their involvement in narcotic abuse & trafficking by the General Directorate of Drug Enforcement.

Based on authority from the Public Prosecution, the suspect's hotel of residence was searched, where a significant amount of narcotics were found in the form of rolls and packets.

A total of 13 kilograms of hashish, 350 grams of shabu, along with a large sum of Qatari Riyals and foreign currencies were found and seized.

Currently, legal procedures are being carried out by the Public Prosecution against the suspects.
