The Westin hosts an Iftar for children with special needs in the framework of Save the Dream Global Pact

On the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, The Westin Doha Hotel and Spa has recently hosted an Iftar for children from Alnoor Institute for Blind and Qatar Social & Cultural Centre for the Blind (QSCCB) as part of its contribution to the Save the Dream Global Pact for Sport.

The Iftar was held at The Westin’s Ramadan tent and gathered children with special needs from Alnoor Institute for Blind and Qatar Social & Cultural Centre for the Blind (QSCCB), members of the press, representatives from the Hotel and Save he Dream organisation along with delegates from sports and social organisations .

Gianrico Esposito, General Manager, of The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa said: “as part of our commitment towards the community, we are pleased to be part of this significate initiative and we are extremely proud to support Save the Dream and share with them the Spirit of Ramadan”.

He added: “We are also committed to support people with disabilities and it is an opportunity to remind the society of the importance of sports as an instrument to bring peace and optimism among people with special needs.”

From his part, Massimiliano Montanari, Executive Director of Save the Dream said: “We are very proud of our Global Pact Member. The Westin Doha for its continuous support to our cause and for hosting us and our partners from Qatar Social and Cultural Center for Blind (QSCCB) and Al Noor Institute for Blind today during Iftar. It is inspiring to share this moment with those who have worked with us this year to bring more sport into the life of children, including children with special needs.”
