Salam Bounian, the developer of the commercial plaza, The Gate, has said its pioneering property was expected to open in July 2010 in the heart of West Bay.
The Gate consists of over a dozen storeys, including a mall, with two levels of retail brands, one level of food and beverage, and one level of health and wellness services, located above three car park basements.
“Rising above the shopping centre are three unique 13-floor smart-technology office towers, connected with a bridge that links two of the threes towers, and creates executive offices that are distinguished by their 6metre floor-to-slab-height formation,” an official said.
The company recently hosted an inspection of site for various brand operators of the retail industry, as well as representatives from the financial and business institutions in the region.
The event began with an audio visual presentation about the project’s particulars, and construction photos since the beginning of the development in late 2006 until present, an official said.
“The presentation was followed by a site tour for the attendees and confirmed the project’s readiness for its opening in July 2010 as construction completes in early March 2010,” the official said.
