The Public Works Authority announces that it will close the first 400 metres of Arab League Street heading north (to Al Kheesa) from Leabib Intersection. The closure starts on Thursday night 3rd of November until Sunday morning 6th of November 2016 in coordination with the Traffic Police Department. The closure aims to enable Ashghal to lay the final asphalt wearing course and do road marking on this part of the road.
During the closure period, road users coming from Arab League Street heading north can use Al Torfa Street and the local roads as shown in the attached map. Those coming from Al Torfa Street heading north, can use local roads shown in the map to reach the service road parallel to Arab League Street, which will remain open to traffic.
Those works are taking place to complete the Roads Improvement Works around Al Duhail Camp project. Ashghal will install road signs to advice motorists of the diversion. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their and others safety.
