Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, Qatar’s iconic culinary destination, welcomes two new chefs to its talented kitchen team. Set to create gastronomic delights, Executive Chef Mauro Bellodi and Executive Pastry Chef Stephenson Simson bring their impressive pedigree to ensure that Sheraton Grand Doha remains at the forefront of Doha’s dynamic dining scene.

With more than fifteen years of international experience gained at esteemed five star hotels, Chef Bellodi and Chef Simson’s passion for gastronomic excellence and modern global cuisine adds another dimension of interest for the city’s discerning diners,

Chef Bellodi who developed his passion for reinterpreting classic dishes in his home country, Italy, took his culinary expertise to resorts in the Maldives, Seychelles and most recently China.

Talking about his new role at Sheraton Grand Doha, Bellodi said: I am very happy to be here in Qatar; in a hotel that holds such a special place in residents’ hearts. I take inspiration from my environment and its surroundings and I feel excited to work within this landmark venue.”

He continued. “It will be a pleasure to bring diners my signature style, which is to cook with passion. My aim is to always offer people an Italian way of life, which of course is fresh tasty food that enhances the mood.”

Executive Pastry Chef Simson, motivated by a passion for quality and excellence has elevated diners’ experience in some of the world’s most spectacular hospitality venues. Talking about his new position, he said: “It is a pleasure to bring my patisserie expertise to such an iconic hotel. My experience has enabled me to master the art of French pastry and breadmaking and I look forward to giving diners a delicious taste of this well-loved cuisine.”

The hotel is home to ten restaurants, bars and lounges including Latino Steakhouse, one of the best South American restaurants in the city, the truly Italian La Veranda and Irish Harp, Doha’s popular Irish pub. Bringing new talent onboard is part of the hotel’s ongoing commitment to enriching customer experience.
