The Qatar Meteorology Department announced on 15 October 2023 that the Al Wasmi season is expected to commence on Monday, 16 October 2023 and last till 6 December 2023.

The Al Wasmi season is expected to witness a temperature drop where the evenings will be cooler and mild along with Northwesterly winds, although the daytime may remain warm.

Rainfall is also expected during the early days of this season as Al Wasmi season witnesses the movement of clouds from the West to the East. This particular rain is also considered to be good rain as it helps various plants flourish, such as Truffle.
