Qtel has launched a ‘summer landline connection campaign’ for residential customers, which offers savings of QR299 for new and existing subscribers. The promotion valid until July 31, offers free connection and three months rental for new landline connections. Under the promotion, customers save QR200 by way of ‘connection fee’ and QR99 three months rental. An earlier promotional campaign at the end of 2008 saw a high take-up of new residential landlines, Qtel said. “With Qatar’s population predicted to grow in the second half of the year, and a number of new housing developments coming online, our executives are confident they will see a positive response this month,” Qtel said.
