The search and rescue teams Qatar has dispatched to Indonesia’s earthquake-hit Sumatra island have set up a field clinic to treat the locals who have suffered injuries in one of the worst natural disasters the archipelago country has witnessed in recent years. The search and rescue teams from Qatar’s internal security outfit Lakhoya have also carried with them large stocks of aid for the quake victims and the materials include medicines and medical supplies, tents and blankets. Relief materials are being distributed to the needy while the search and rescue teams are simultaneously busy looking for survivors in the debris of devastated buildings. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=October2009&file=Local_News2009101123154.xml
