The Customs Department of Hamad International Airport thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotic Lyrica pills on 29 May 2023.

As per Qatar Customs, after the customs inspector suspected a passenger's bag, the seized items were found hidden secretly. The total weight of the confiscated materials amounted to 5040 pills.
