In response to the urgent humanitarian needs, Qatar Charity began to distribute 27,000 ready-to-eat meals to the earthquake victims equally in Syria and Türkiye as well as deploy a convoy of 4 aid consignments from Doha that contains medical supplies, first aid, clothes, dates, and food items.

Preparations are also underway to implement 30 relief convoys that will include food and non-food items.

The total aid value of the first phase of this relief campaign amounts to more than 6 million riyals.

A QR 21.9 million plan is currently being prepared for urgent response, early recovery, and reconstruction projects.

Due to the strong earthquake, the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Syria and refugees in Türkiye are going through a new humanitarian tragedy, which has made their living conditions further worse. Hundreds of earthquake victims need treatment and medicine urgently, while hundreds of others have become homeless, with no food.

Given the tragic humanitarian situation, Qatar Charity urges benefactors in Qatar to support the relief campaign to help the affected and contribute to lessening their suffering.
