The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announced on 6 August 2023 that they have been awarded three international awards from the Harvard Business Council (HBC) in the USA. The awards appreciate and recognize Ashghal's best practices executed in various fields.

The three awards won were as follows:

• Gold Award for Customer Care for the year 2022
• Diamond Award for the Supply Chain of the Roads Projects Department for the Local Areas Infrastructure Programme
• Exceptional “Certificate of Excellence” for the year 2022

The “Certificate of Excellence” was rewarded for acknowledging further Ashghal's practices that were awarded in the previous year, where two diamond awards were won in the 'Green & Environmental Initiatives' and 'Health & Safety' categories along with the Gold Award for 'Dealing with COVID-19'.

The Harvard Business Council stated, that it was Ashghal's leading position in the construction sector by supporting Qatar that ledd to winning the diamond award. It was further mentioned that it was also the support to local manufacturers, suppliers and local Qatari products, along with the engagement with stakeholders such as consulting companies, contractors, suppliers, workers, and others, to eventually executed the best standard performance.

The Harvard Business Council’s 2023 International Awards were highly competitive for the year 2023 and began on 16 January 2023. Ashghal proved to be an outstanding performer among 13 nominees for the Certificate of Excellence.
