The Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has announced plans to build a mall at the heart of Aspire Park. The project will be spread in an area of over 67,000 square metres, housing a shopping complex, entertainment and many other facilities, Al Sharq’s website reported yesterday.
The wide range of facilities at the project, to be located at the Aspire Zone, will be catering to different needs of local and international visitors.
Individuals and families will also be able to enjoy educational and recreational experiences in the lush green gardens of the facility, Al Sharq quoted Mohammad Meer, Director of the Engineering Department at Aspire Zone as saying.
Meer provided details of the project during a presentation at a seminar organized for French businessmen exploring investment opportunities in the country’s sports sector.
He highlighted Qatar’s commitment and contribution for the development of infrastructure to promote the sports sector.
He also discussed about a second project, the Museum of Qatar Olympic Sports, to be developed in partnership between the Olympic Committee and the Qatar Museums Authority, which will be providing host of facilities, including classrooms equipped with audiovisual techniques to make teaching and learning activities more interactive and interesting.
The Foundation aims to develop sports champions, promote healthy lifestyle and galvanise the sports economy.
