Philippine embassy qatar lifts oec fees renames ofw pass

The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) of the Embassy of the Philippines in Doha, Qatar, has announced that the issuance of all forms of Overseas Employment Certificates (OEC) shall be free of charge effective 29 July 2023. The OEC or OFW Clearance will also be renamed as the OFW Pass.

Previously, OEC issuance and fees started at QR 100.

The OEC is a document verifying Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) as legal workers abroad and also serves as an entry and exit clearance document when going or coming back to the Phillippines for vacation or visits.

The MWO clarifies that appointments for OEC processing should be made through the DMW Online Processing System for Balik-Manggagawa or POPS-BaM. They also remind the community that appointments are strictly required.
