Petrol prices will go down by 5 dirhams from September 1, according to the new price list issued by the Ministry of Energy and Industry.

Prices of both Super and Premium grade petrol will be 5 dirhams less from the August rates and will be the same as July.

Price of Premium grade petrol will be QR1.30 a litre in September compared with QR1.35 in August and QR1.30 in July.

Price of Super grade petrol will be QR1.40 a litre. It was QR1.45 in August and QR1.40 in July.

Diesel will stay at QR1.40, same as August and July, as per the list published by the ministry.

The ministry posted the prices on its website in line with the decision to review fuel prices every month, based on international prices.

The ministry announced in April that it will start pegging the fuel prices to the international market. (Source)
