The Ministry of Municipalities organized a press conference to announce the completion stages of the State Public Positions Management Project under Law 13 of 2021 on the regulation of vehicle parking, where the management of public positions will begin under the supervision of specialized municipal departments in partnership with the private sector as soon as the project procedures are completed.

The public-private parking management organization in the country aims to contribute to improving the quality of life and humanizing cities by organizing parking spaces and making optimal use of them, reducing congestion and traffic congestion, and encouraging the use of public transportation.

Objectives of the vehicle parking management project in the country:

Regulating the management of public and private parking in the country under Law No. (13) of 2021 regarding the regulation of vehicle parking aims to contribute to improving the quality of life in cities and residential neighborhoods, within the framework of enhancing the Qatar National Vision 2030 and implementing the State Parking Master Plan 2022 and the Qatar Transport Master Plan 2050.

And that is through:

• Reducing congestion and traffic congestion
• Organizing parking spaces and making optimal use of them
• Encouraging the use of public transportation
• Reduce emissions and pollution
• Increasing traffic safety rates
• Reducing wrong parking violations
• Exploiting state resources and investing in infrastructure

Smart Marking Map:

• 3,300 sensors
• 100 identification plates
• 10 parking management systems

Smart Parking Regulation Areas(First Phase - Central Doha):

Areas include:

• Al Jasra
• Msheireb
• Al Najada -Barahat Al Jufairi-Fereej Al Asmakh
• Old Ghanim
• Al Souq
• Al Rufaa- Al Hitmi
• Al Mirqab - Al Salata

Smart Parking Regulation Areas (West Bay):

• Al Dafna
• Onaiza

Smart Parking Area(Corniche):

• The entire Corniche is (from the Sheraton to the Museum of Islamic Art) covered with sensors and information boards 250 Sensors.

The Public-Private parking Management Organization in the country strives to enhance quality of life and humanize cities by optimizing parking, reducing congestion, and promoting public transit use.
