On 12 November 2023, The Ministry of Labour announced the modernization of a package of its new electronic digital services, as part of its strategy for the digital transformation of services, and to contribute to achieving excellence in performance, speedy completion of transactions, and simplification of procedures.

The Ministry explained that the new updated package includes a request to renew a recruitment office license electronically and a request to cancel a recruitment office license electronically by following the instructions of the Ministry of Labor website. Employers and owners of a licensed labor recruitment office from abroad must submit a request to renew the license electronically one month before its expiration through the Ministry of Labor.

For a renewal application to be accepted, the establishment’s registration must be effective, there is no ban on it or a personal ban on the facility owner, there is no effective renewal application, the date of submission of the application must be within the period allowed for submission, “one month before the expiration of the license,” and the absence of complaints.

The office must have an effective date on the commercial license. In the case of a request to cancel the license of a recruitment office, for the request to be accepted, it is required that there be no ban on the facility, no personal ban on the current owner, no complaints against the office, and the expiration of a period of nine months from the announcement of the office’s closure in one of the official newspapers.

The Ministry of Labour launched a comprehensive electronic system for all the services it provides, especially to companies committed to the provisions of the law, in coordination with various concerned authorities, to ensure the quality of services. It should be noted that the Ministry of Labor currently provides “80” electronic services and transactions through its website.
