The Ministry of Labour announced in a tweet on June 15 2022, the maximum working hours for a domestic worker.

They defined the working hours as a maximum of 8 hours, with an additional 2 hours of paid overtime.

This is also defined in section 12 of the Qatar Law No. 15 of 22 August 2017 which relates to domestic workers.

The ministry further announced that domestic workers are entitled to a day of paid rest per week and they are also allowed to leave the house.
