The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) issued a statement on 19 October 2023 clarifying the rumours, which stated that the winter camping season starts on 19 October 2023 in the areas of Sealine and others.
The ministry confirmed that the winter camping season dates remain as 1 November 2023 to 30 April 2024, as they had announced on 10 October 2023.
Furthermore, the ministry urged the public to rely only on official sources, such as the ministry itself, to get correct news.
