To commemorate McDonald’s founder - Ray Kroc's birthday, all of McDonald’s staff and employees spent the day at various restaurants in Qatar on the 8th of October. Every year on this day, the management and restaurant crew keep Ray Kroc’s vision alive by working shoulder to shoulder to deliver delicious, feel-good moments to their customers. It’s a tradition originating from the United States of America during the 1980S, where employees from all segments of the world work in guest-facing roles at McDonald’s on this day.
Along with the restaurant staff, this event awarded the corporate employees a chance to be thoroughly involved in the entire process of engaging with their customers. As the managing director of McDonald’s Qatar - Mr. Kamal Saleh Al Mana says, “McDonald’s Qatar is committed to delivering unique and differentiated experiences to every guest.” From greeting guests to noting their orders and delivering it to them with the brand’s signature warmth and enthusiasm. They also made sure the customers felt extra special by giving customers awards for their visit.
Delivering on the brand’s promise, the General Manager, Mithqual Abu-Nasser said, “We continue to draw inspiration from our founder by staying true to our commitment of being consumer-oriented. This day provides us with the exceptional opportunity to interact with our customers to understand them better and gain a deeper perspective of their needs”. He further added, “Working with our front line staff, helps us gain greater gratitude for what it takes to deliver these feel-good moments and daily portions of fun and delivering great customer experience.”
Ray Kroc’s passion and vision live on as an integral part of McDonald’s - today and into the future. Founder’s day was a successful event celebrating the staff’s commitment to the brand and its values.
