Man arrested for Stabbing an Indian to death

A 31-year-old Indian expatriate died, reportedly after being stabbed by a Nepalese worker in a labour camp in Al Sailiya on the outskirts of Doha on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Shameer. He hailed from Omassery in Kozhikode district in southern state of Kerala and had been based here for five years. He had been working as a heavy vehicle driver with a private company. Shameer was stabbed with a sharp instrument as Saleem, his brother watched in horror. The duo had been to the camp to enquire about a friend staying there after they heard that he had a brawl with a group of workers. He was rushed to the emergency unit of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) but succumbed to injuries on the way. The body of the deceased has been kept at HMC mortuary and is to be flown home for the last rites. The alleged attacker is reported to have been arrested by police. Source:Qatar Chronicle
