Doha, January 1st, 2011: As part of its ongoing commitment to both its customers and innovation, Katara, today unveils a new website design and image, representing a significant milestone in the Cultural Village’s history. “Migrating to a new website that not only represents what we stand for as a business but also clearly conveys the progress we have made since our inception is a very important step for us,” said Abdulrahman Al-Khulaifi, President of Katara. “At Katara, we are committed to fostering a platform for world renowned arts and culture initiatives and an integral part of this is ensuring that all our communications platforms reflect that. In this way we convey our brand’s attributes while constantly enhancing our solid, leading position across Qatar and the Arab region.” The new website represents a ‘one stop shop’, incorporating key information about Katara, all of which reflect the role Katara plays as a cultural hub in Qatar and the Arab region. The new look and feel on the other hand represent the stability and strength on which Katara has been built on, yet also encompasses the innovation that is fast becoming a trademark of Katara following the many successful cultural initiatives it brought the region this year. The unveiling of the new website follows a long process of brand development and research, and is a direct outcome of the progress Katara has made since its inception in 2010. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team that has seen this assignment through to its successful conclusion,” added Abdulrahman Al-Khulaifi, President of Katara. As we build on the success we have achieved to-date, we are keeping our eyes firmly fixed on the future and continue to cement Katara as a leading cultural hub throughout the region.” You can visit the new website by logging on to www.katara.net ILQ News
