Internal Security Force trained to meet challenges at new Doha International airport

As part of preparations for opening the Hamad International Airport (HIA) scheduled for tomorrow, 227 cadets have graduated in airport security training. The Airport Security Department conducted a graduation ceremony for participants of the second foundation course on Thursday. The course was held in collaboration with Internal Security Force (ISF) for a period of ten weeks from January 1 to March 28, 2013 in which 227 cadets from the department took part. The graduation ceremony held at Lekhwiya headquarters was attended by Deputy commander of the Force Brig Mohammed Abdul Aziz Al Atiyya, Director of Training and Courses at ISF Brig Mahdi Mutlaq Al Qahtani, Director of Airport Security department Col Eissa Arar Al Rumaihi and the course supervisor Maj Salim Saeed Al Rashdi . The course was prepared to provide the participants with necessary security skills that enable them to carry out their duties within and outside the airport. The course included theoretical and practical classes on police science and explosives, first aid and shooting. It also covered other topics such as public reactions and their control over them in order to achieve the best behaviour in dealing with the public. They were also familiarised with national and international legislations in aviation sector. At the end of the ceremony, certificates were given away to the participants and mementos were exchanged between Airport Security Department and ISF.
