His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received today at Lusail Palace H.E. Secretary of State of the friendly the United States of America Antony Blinken, who is currently visiting the country.
The meeting dealt with discussing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, the ways to enhance and develop them in all fields, and a number of regional and international issues of joint interest, particularly developments in the Palestinian territories and humanitarian conditions there.
H.H. the Amir stressed during the meeting the importance of efforts aimed at de-escalation, opening safe corridors in Gaza for aid and humanitarian efforts, and ensuring the conflict does not expand regionally. H.H. The Amir also stressed the State of Qatar's firm position on condemning the targeting of civilians.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
