Doha’s music lovers were treated to a truly memorable night as seven renowned DJs joined in a night of celebration marking Global DJs third birthday at the Qube in Ramada on Friday. The night’s performance witnessed the culmination of another successful year and a testament to how the pioneering DJs changed the face of Doha’s music scene. Speaking to mediapersons prior to the start of the show, Master Jay said: “Global DJs have set new trends in Doha with big shows where people can enjoy.” He further explained that they cater to various audiences, making their music family orientated. The show was total entertainment, with the interplay of sound, lights and the DJs’ exhilarating performance leaving the audience spellbound. Top DJ Marco V, known as the DJ’s DJ for his ability to create tunes which turn into favourite anthems of disco buffs, highlighted the party with other well-known DJs namely DJ Benjamin Bates and Deep Motions composed of fantastic duo Youngstar and DJ3. Pioneering home grown Global DJ’s Paul Mendez, Master Jay and DJ Sam never failed to give the crowd a reason to keep invading the dance floor, with their upbeat remix of a variety of tunes resonating the spirit of what they do best. The four-month preparation for the show paid off with the very warm reception from the clubbers. “When I first started being a DJ during my university years, I saw it as just a pleasure thing,” said Master Jay adding how amazingly they have revolutionised the party scene here with the various events they hosted, the biggest of which was the desert party in 2007. He hopes to take deejaying to the highest level in the coming years. “The next big event we will host is set on February 19 featuring French DJ David Vendetta,” Master Jay revealed. Other DJs also expressed optimism on the prospect of deejaying here with Qatar’s fast-paced progress. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=February2009&file=Local_News2009020153559.xml
