The following statement was released by the General Tax Authority on their official social media channels:
"The General Tax Authority's name has recently been exploited in fraudulent schemes targeting individuals through social media and emails.
Scammers deceive victims by sending links allegedly for tax deductions, urging them to submit refund requests. The General Tax Authority urges all taxpayers to exercise caution, steering clear of falling victim to such fraudulent operations, avoid clicking on any suspicious links, and refrain from responding to requests for personal or tax-related information."
