Have you ever wanted a top-notch cooking class from one of the world’s best hotels? Well, it’s time to get in the kitchen and learn from some of the top chefs in the world!
In this week’s episode, I visit the newly revamped La Mer Bistro at the world-famous Ritz-Carton, Doha. Located on the 23rd floor with some of the best views in Doha, La Mer Bistro has been renovated with a new chic interior, lots of comfy seating, funky art, and offers affordable French dining with a deliciously satisfying and hearty menu.
So, what’s new on the menu? Lots of classic, French goodies such as pâté, mousse, terrine, home-baked breads and, of course, succulent slow-cooked meats with rich, silky gravy. We also can’t forget the juicy, mouth-watering seafood and, for those with a sweet tooth – decadent desserts such as luscious chocolate mousse and profiteroles. To view the full menu, click here.
Plus, I had a sneak peek in the La Mer Bistro kitchen and met two of its top chefs – Chef De Cuisine Will Khala and Executive Chef and Masterchef of France Gael Cruchet for a quick cooking class and some top cooking tips! We whipped up a super-simple pan-seared salmon with toasted almonds, capers and butter sauce, plus steamed mussels with garlic, parsley and shallots. Sounds downright delicious right?
