DOHA: Thousands of Filipinos will troop to Aqua Park on October 21 to watch and enjoy the biggest gathering of Filipino bands this year to perform at the “Oktoberfest Music Festival and Family Day.” Organisers led by Dugong Pinoy-United Filipino Volunteers said everything has been set in place to make the event exciting with more than a dozen popular Filipino bands in Doha already confirmed their performance at the 12-hour non-stop live concert that will start at 10am at ends at 10pm. Even as this will be a paid event to defray the talent fees of the performing bands, transport and Aqua Park entrance, an official said tickets were already almost sold out and they expect that hundreds more will buy with only less than a week left before the event. Organisers have clarified the event is open to all people in Qatar and not exclusive for the Filipino community who wants to enjoy live concert of Filipino bands performing different music genre that suits their taste. For those who don’t want to drive the long trip to Aqua Park or don’t have car at all, a bus will be available on hourly schedules waiting at the parking area at Hotel Ramada. The Peninsula
