The first indoor sports fest held by the Philippine Institute of Public Accountants (PICPA) Qatar Chapter at the Philippine School of Doha gymnasium recently was a big success.
More than 90 members and associates including their families and friends took part in the ‘Olym-PICPA Day’ event. The event was in line with the year’s theme ‘Haya Bena PICPA Qatar’.
Opened by a symbolic torch lighting led by the council officers and followed by a unity dance, the participants were divided into White and Blue teams.
The competitions were in cheering, basketball (men and women), badminton (mixed doubles), table tennis (mixed doubles), darts, blind volleyball and basketball (parlour game version).
PICPA Qatar, a member of the Philippine Professional Organisation in Qatar, recently attended the 6th PICPA Middle East Conference and is hosting the next edition of the conference in 2014. This year’s council officers’ is led by Jehmar Tabili of Qatar Petroleum.
