Several regional and international companies are expected to take part in the third Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition that will open on March 13 at Doha Exhibition Centre, local daily Arrayah has reported.
Under the patronage of HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Ministry of Environment is organising the four-day event.
It will be opened by HE the Minister of Environment Abdullah bin Mubarak bin Aaboud al-Midhadhi.
HE Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser al-Thani, assistant undersecretary for agricultural, animal wealth and fisheries affairs, who is also chairman of the organising committee, said that a total of 154 organisations from the Arab world, Africa, Asia and Europe will participate.
“The participation of ministers of agriculture, experts and specialists will provide a suitable opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences about the agricultural sector. The exhibition will also cover modern agricultural equipment, irrigation techniques and systems of food industry,” he added.
