The Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who is also the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, yesterday attended the Emiri Guards Day ceremony held at the Emiri Guards command headquarters. The ceremony was also attended by the Chief of Staff of the armed forces, H E Major-General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah, Minister of State for Interior Affairs, H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and a number of senior army officers. On arrival of the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent at the platform, the musical band played the National Anthem. Then verses from the Holy Quran were recited, followed by the Emiri Guard address by Colonel Staff Hamad Misfer Ash Shawani. This was followed by an infantry parade and a parade by army vehicles.
