Dohaland and Turner International Middle East have signed an agreement to form a joint venture, Time Qatar, which will be an independent project management company. The agreement was signed by Dohaland CEO Issa M al-Mohannadi, and Turner Construction International and Turner International Middle East chairman and CEO Ali H Odeh. The agreement is described as an important step forward as Dohaland aims to create and develop communities that will set the standard for property development in Qatar. “Time Qatar will aid Dohaland in creating leading edge urban living concepts that build on traditional Arabian architectural motifs and designs,” al-Mohannadi stated. “Our projects will position Dohaland as an important developer of major, innovative and sustainable projects that are rooted in our heritage,” he added. Time Qatar will be owned by Turner International Middle East and Dohaland. “Turner has the reputation for diligence and creativity in seeking the best options and optimum solutions for each individual project,” Ali Odeh said. Through Time Qatar, Turner will support projects that foster enduring living environments for the benefit of the people and built to the highest environmental standards and practices,” he added. Dohaland, a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, will lead and inspire property development in Qatar, and will enable the human potential to grow and flourish. Turner has extensive experience across a wide variety of sustainable construction projects and has completed 80 LEED Certified projects, while currently working on more than 120 additional projects that are registered with the US Green Building Council. http://gulf-times.com/site/topics/article.asp?cu_no=2&item_no=291360&version=1&template_id=36&parent_id=16
