Doha College have launched their latest social media campaign with mascot Dash the Dolphin in order to raise awareness and increase financial support for their New Campus, which is scheduled to open in 2016.

The 8 week campaign is a competition based on Dash the Dolphin’s summer excursions around the world. Anyone can take part in the competition, whether it be parents, students, staff or even members in the local community. Participants must correctly guess where Dash has been on holiday and ‘like and share’ the post on Facebook to be entered into the weekly draws and have the chance to win a host of prizes. The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness and build financial support for Doha College’s New Campus.

Each week participants could win a vast array of fantastic prices including Centrepoint shopping vouchers, a weekend stay at the prestigious Raddisson Blu Hotel, a range of Evolution Sport trial sessions, a range of hair and beauty treatments from Desert Princess Hair & Beauty Salon, BMW test drives and a weekend stay at the exclusive W Hotel Doha.

Claire Griffiths, Doha College’s Marketing Manager, stated “At Doha College we are incredibly lucky to have excellent relationships with a number of local businesses who support our marketing projects and get involved with many of our student activities. With over 1700 students, 250 staff and an active parent network we can offer sponsors interesting marketing opportunities. Our Dash around the World competition is proving popular and with weekly prizes offers almost instant results. We are very grateful to our sponsors the Raddisson Blu Hotel, Centrepoint, Desert Princess, BMW Qatar, W Hotel Doha and Evolution Sport for their kind donations.”

The New Campus, which is expected to open in 2016, will be able to accommodate over 2000 students from Pre-School to 6th Form. Not only does the New Campus increase the college’s student numbers by at least 30 percent, it will also provide students with a modern, high-tech and flexible learning environment. The school will continue to follow the British curriculum and be co-educational. This is all part of Doha College's strategic vision to be recognised as one of the leading international schools in the world.

Each Sunday three different pictures of Dash on his travels are posted onto Doha College’s Official Facebook Page. Participants have to guess what famous city he visited from the landmarks displayed in the background. In order to be entered into the prize draw, participants must guess all three pictures correctly and like and share the post with their friends, which will ultimately raise awareness. One lucky winner will be announced every Thursday and each Sunday a new set of pictures will be uploaded. The grand finale will take place on October 31st so there is plenty of time to enter.
