The Public Works Authority — Ashghal — will soon implement a new traffic diversion on Al Waab Street on the way from Sadd Interchange towards Al-Waab near Jowan Interchange Tunnel. The diversion will be implemented in two phases, the first starting from April 10 and the second one from April 17. This is to complete the extensive works related to Waab Street as part of the 22 February and Al Amir Streets projects. To avoid complete closure of the street, Ashghal has explored all solutions and decided to use traffic diversions for completion of all works on the project within the planned phases, said a statement yesterday. The proposed diversions will be of asphalted two-lane dual carriage, ensuring smooth traffic flow in both directions along the remaining period of the works on the project.
