Mwani Qatar announced via tweet on 25 December 2022 that the cruise season 2022/2023 in Qatar has officially commenced with the docking of the French cruise ship at the Doha Port.

The French cruise liner known as Le Bougainvilie is the first ship of the season. The cruise is 131m long and 18m wide, and accommodates a total of 294 people, inclusive of staff.
Additionally, Mwani Qatar mentioned that a total of 58 cruise ships are expected for the season, out of which 6 cruise ships will make their maiden call to Qatar.
