The country is expected to be affected by a state of atmospheric instability due to extension of low pressure from Saturday until Tuesday, Qatar Meteorology Department said in its weather report.
Skies are expected to gradually become partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of scattered thundery rain - moderate to heavy - especially on Sunday and Monday associated with strong wind at times and low visibility, weather bureau further added.
The prevailing wind will be mainly North-easterly to South-easterly between 10-20 kt reaching 40 kt during thunderstorms and the wave height is expected to range between 3-5 ft rising to 15 ft at times during thunderstorms.
Meteorology Department urged everyone to be cautious, avoid marine activities as well as to follow latest updates through daily weather forecast bulletins and official social media accounts.
For Friday the department predicted that the weather will be mild daytime with scattered clouds and relatively cold by night with chance of scattered rain offshore.
On Saturday also there are chances of scattered rain at places at times. maybe thundery offshore.
Lowest temperature recorded this morning was 13°C in Turainah and Abu_Samra and reached 20°C in Doha.
