The Public Works Authority, Ashghal announced on 25 May 2024 that Street 33 has been inaugurated. Street 33 is a 5 km long newly upgraded expressway in Industrial Area which is expected to facilitate seamless traffic flow.

The lanes have been increased to 4 in all directions and can accommodate a total of 16,000 vehicles per hour.

The previous roundabouts on Street 33 have been replaced by two interchanges with two levels, connecting Al Kassarat Street and West Industrial Street.

Traffic coming in from Doha towards Industrial Area will be easily connected via Street 33 and will also be able to access other roads such as East Industrial Street, Al Kassarat Street, West Industrial Street, Salwa Road & G-ring Road.

Street 33 is also directly connected to local streets like Al Karajat Street, Al Manajer Street, Al Banaa Street and Al Taqa Street in Industrial Area.
