A 70-year-old woman has been beaten up severely and kicked out of her home by her son and grandchildren, but she is reluctant to file a police complaint because she does not want legal action against her near and dear ones. The woman, who is actually more than 70, was thrown out with her luggage into the street after being thrashed, after which someone called up Al Sharq Arabic daily. But when the Al Sharq reporter reached the spot, she was already back in her home, and her son and his family members were missing. The house belongs to her. According to the daily, this was not the first time woman was beaten up by her son and thrown out. “This has been happening for a number of years and each time she was beaten up and kicked out, neighbours, many of whom are single Asian workers living in the vicinity, provided her food and help,” the daily said. But she never ever tried to contact the police for she did not want her son and his family to face legal action. She even did not go for treatment even if she bled after being assaulted, for a medical centre would not treat her without a police complaint. The woman said that she was praying when her relatives attacked her and kicked her out.
