In a recent Instagram post, the Doha Film Institute expressed pride and satisfaction as five films they supported were selected for screening at the 80th Venice Film Festival.

The DFI-supported films chosen to be showcased are as follows:

• City of Wind directed by Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir
• Bye Bye Tiberias directed by Lina Soualem
• Behind the Mountains directed by Mohamed Ben Attia
• Sea Salt directed by Leila Basma
• Backstage directed by Afef Ben Mahmoud and Khalil Benkirane
