Qatar National Library confirmed support to Qatar's researchers to publish their results as widely as possible as well as innovative scientists, thinkers, creators, and scientific pioneers, whenever the opportunity arises, to echo their efforts internationally.

This came in a statement issued by Qatar National Library today, which indicated that the library experts presented the researchers with a remote session on the publishing financing program with the free access system, which is part of the librarys commitment to spreading knowledge and information around the world.

The session dealt with some practical advice for researchers wishing to publish articles and books in the free access system, with expanded instructions for obtaining funding for publication in the free access journals.

The statement stated that funding for publishing with the system aims to support research conducted in Qatar under the umbrella of national funding that covers all expenses related to publishing, and is available to students, researchers, and teaching staff in institutions of higher education, or non-profit research institutions in Qatar.

Qatar National Library also participates in many international free access initiatives, such as the INTACT Open APC project and the OA2020. It also contributes to developing the principles of international free access through the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).
