Crew Q junior senior community voices

CrewQ prides itself as Qatar's very own street dance group! The dance group consists of students enrolled at the My First Eight Count - MFEC Street Dance, a dance training centre in Qatar.

The group was formed by selecting par excellence students of the dance school to represent Qatar globally through dance, and the crew is now continued to be managed by MFEC Street Dance.

CrewQ rose to fame after winning the champions title of the 2022 UDO World Championship U16 category in the United Kingdom. They represented Qatar amongst the 6,000 dance participants from over 35 countries.

For the year 2023, CrewQ is in the works of attempting to add more gems to its crown as they will be representing Qatar in 2 categories at the 2023 UDO World Championship. CrewQ Sr and CrewQ Jr groups will be participating in the 'CrewQ Sr Members Under 18 Category Novice' and 'CrewQ Jr Members Under 14 Category Beginner', respectively.

Before the teams head out for their challenge, the ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team got in touch with CrewQ Jr & CrewQ Sr to learn more about them and shed some light on their preparation for the competition.

CrewQ Team: The opportunity to represent our country is a great experience for each of us. In last year's competition, we saw tears of joy while representing Qatar in the most prominent dance sports spectacle on the planet, and it was indeed overwhelming.

We believe Qatar should only have the best, and CrewQ is giving it back to Qatar.

ILQ: What do you hope would be different from the participation last year?

CrewQ Team: Unlike the previous year, the 2023 championship will feature 2 of our teams representing Qatar which in itself is a change. The senior team is excited about the challenge as they have scaled up their dance pieces for the upcoming competition and have a few new members.

Being the first time for our junior team, we have prepared them with vibrant choreographic pieces to face the competition.

ILQ: Is CrewQ looking forward to participating in any other competitions?

CrewQ Team: We have got our eyes on participating in many competitions in 2025, such as World of Dance, Hip Hop International & Body Rocks, which take place in the USA, for which we will be going through a two-year cycle of training preparation to participate.
