Qatar Music Academy is thrilled to announce the remarkable success of its talented music student, Sze Han Law, who recently emerged victorious as the 'Young Musician of the Gulf 2024' at the prestigious BSME Young Musician of the Gulf (YMoG) competition held in Bahrain.
Han, representing Doha British School (DBS), showcased exceptional musical prowess and dedication throughout the competition, which saw 108 promising young musicians from British schools across the Gulf region. After four rounds of intense competition, Han not only secured the coveted 'Young Musician of the Gulf 2024' title but also garnered several prestigious accolades along the way. Han's outstanding achievements include:
The competition was a testament to Han's musical talent and commitment to excellence, making her a standout performer among her peers. As a music scholar of Qatar Music Academy, Han brought pride and acclaim to both her school and the Academy. The success achieved by Han would not have been possible without the dedicated guidance of her violin teacher Ms. Lorena Manescu, who plays a pivotal role in nurturing Han's musical abilities and shaping her into the accomplished musician.
In addition to Han's success, several other students from the Academy participated through their respective schools, contributing to the overall musical excellence showcased by Qatar Music Academy. Notably, Anne McChesney, a student of Mr. Dmitri Torchinsky, has also reached the final stages of the competition, highlighting the consistent and outstanding musical achievements of the Academy's students.
